The Weight Was Never Yours
Sometimes you don’t need advice. You need somewhere to put the thoughts you’ve been carrying.
I’ve always found it interesting how often people confide in me, even people I’ve only met a handful of times. There is something about an honest conversation that can make people feel safe enough to say what they haven’t been able to say anywhere else.
As a Sagittarius, I naturally have a tendency to look for the lesson, the bigger picture, and the possibility on the other side of a difficult experience. As someone who identifies with the Lightworker path, I’ve always felt called toward work centered around hope, awareness, compassion, and helping people see that their circumstances do not have to define the entirety of their story.
Professionally, I am a Certified Peer Support Specialist, where I work alongside people from many different walks of life, including people in recovery and people living with disabilities. My work centers around listening, instilling hope, helping people recognize their strengths, and connecting them with resources that can support their goals.
I wanted to extend that spirit of conversation beyond my professional work.
Because sometimes the people who need somewhere to talk are the same people who are always expected to be strong. The ones who are everyone else’s support system. The ones who don’t necessarily need someone to fix their life, but would appreciate having another person in the room while they make sense of it.
This is a judgment free conversation.
No perfect explanation is required.
No filter is required.
You can bring the random thought, the complicated situation, the question you’ve been sitting with, or the thing you haven’t been able to say out loud.
I’ll listen, ask questions, offer perspective when it’s welcomed, and help you explore different ways of looking at what you’re experiencing.
The goal isn’t for me to tell you what to do.
It’s to expand your capacity to see what else could be true.
